Who is Doris Chiang?

 

After finishing her undergraduate degree, Doris went on to complete her Doctoral of Musical Arts at The University of Southern California. In addition to graduating with high academic honors, she also participated in master classes by some of the country’s authorities on technique, including Eduardo Delgado, Artur Pizarro and Daniel Pollack. With an acute understanding of both technical piano technique and finesse alike, Doris remains an active piano soloist and chamber pianist. She continues to frequently present her own programs at Richard Nixon Library and MTAC, The Music Teachers Association of California. And finally, Doris has had extensive experience as the pianist of Bachiana Piano Ensemble, which preforms regularly in the Southern California area. With over 23 years of experience as a private piano instructor, Doris has mastered a broad range of teaching techniques in order to approach teaching the piano in a way that suits all kinds of learners.
